To ensure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it must be measured accurately. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn should there be one. If you are unable measure it using the lock in its position, you can take it out of it. It is essential to avoid having a extension of the cylinder beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.
